The Survey on Quality of Life at Work (EQVT) is an annual statistical operation performed by the Ministry of Labour and Immigration (abbreviated MTIN) for Spain as a whole. Thanks to a cooperation agreement between the Ministry, Idescat and the Catalan government's Department of Labour, since the 2006 edition these statistics have been included in the Catalan Statistical System and they have been expanded by enlarging the sample of employed persons living in Catalonia. This enlarged sample allows the results for Catalonia to be expanded better.
The main goal of the EQVT is to obtain information on the quality of life of the employed population at their workplace, understood as their perceived welfare and satisfaction with regard to the jobs they perform and the physical and emotion working conditions. It also includes factors related to labour relations, such as how the work is organised, compensation and safety.
The EQVT is a statistical operation performed by the Ministry of Labour and Immigration for Spain as a whole. For this reason, the figures published here are comparable with those disseminated by the Ministry for Spain and for the autonomous communities.
The information on the synthetic results starting in 2006 may be consulted on the Idescat website. For more in-depth information, the Department of Labour disseminates the detailed results starting from the same year.
